Overview & Schedule of 2008 Courses
For over 20 years Holly Herman and Kathe Wallace have been providing continuing education seminars to physical therapists nationwide. Together, they have developed the first comprehensive pelvic floor education program in the United States. Each course sequentially builds on specific skills and techniques for the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor and pelvic girdle dysfunctions. These 2-3 day courses use a combination of lecture and labs to integrate external and internal soft tissue treatment techniques. The evidence-based course material prepares the therapist to meet the needs of the orthopedic, geriatric, neurologic, colorectal, urologic, obstetric and gynecologic patient population. The course-work is immediately applicable to any clinical setting.
If you have taken the series before we divided the PF 2 into PF 2A and PF 2B please consider retaking the course which may meet your clinical need the most. We expanded the courses because of the large amount of evidence-based research that has been published since 2004. You may also go on to take PF 3 if you feel comfortable with the course prerequisites.
